Nick and Drew Lachey are closing their bar, Lachey’s, in Cincinnati. The move comes two months after its manager, 27-year-old Ellie Richardson, was shot in the head leaving the sports bar on Thanksgiving morning.

Vanessa Lachey’s hubby confirmed the news on Instagram. In the photo, Nick is posing with his two boys, Camden, 5, and Phoenix, 1. “Me and my boys enjoying one last hurrah at @lacheysbar,” he wrote. “It’s been an incredible 3 Years full of lifelong memories. Thank You Cincinnati for helping me realize a dream and the chance to share it with multiple generations of Lacheys and Lachey fans. We will be closing it’s doors after this Saturday night. Let’s make some more amazing memories this weekend and send her out in style!! #lacheysbar.”

The brothers opened the bar, restaurant, and lounge three years ago in the neighborhood where they “basically grew up.”

“This is a project that Drew and I have talked about for what seems like a decade,” Nick told a crowd of media at the opening. “We wanted to be a part of the fantastic renaissance that is happening here.”

Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley attended the opening and gave the Lacheys keys to the city, proclaiming Dec. 19, 2014, as “Nick and Drew Lachey Day.”

Last November, Richardson, who also worked as a bartender, was shot in the face around 3 a.m. in the city’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. Investigators called it a road rage incident. As Richardson was leaving, she reportedly got into a verbal altercation with the driver of a van who allegedly nearly hit her. The bar’s bouncer, Keith Anderson, was robbed as he tried to help her, according to reports.

Richardson was rushed to the hospital in stable condition. In December, she underwent surgery to repair the left side of her face and was released prior to Christmas. Days after the shooting, Nick shared on Twitter a link to a donation page for her recovery, writing, “Please help Ellie and her family get through this most difficult time.” Over 950 people have donated, raising around $83,000. 98 Degrees also played a benefit concert for her before the holidays.

A 36-year-old suspect voluntarily surrendered himself to police for the crime, but his lawyer says he is not guilty.

Last call at Lachey’s will be this Saturday night.

Our last day operating will be Saturday, February 10th.
