Nicholas Braun turned the 2024 Critics Choice Awards into a stylish date night on Sunday.

The actor attended the ceremony at the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles with his girlfriend, and the two shared a kiss at their table as his show Succession won best drama series. Braun, 35, joined costars Matthew Macfadyen, Sarah Snook and Kieran Culkin onstage as creator Jesse Armstrong accepted the award.

Braun posed for photos solo on the red carpet prior to the award show, though his special guest was seated next to him inside.

For its final season, Succession also saw wins Sunday for Snook as best actress and Culkin as best actor in a drama series. In his speech, Culkin, 41, earned laughs sharing how his wife, Jazz Charton, occasionally pulls his ear hair from time to time — a habit his costar Snook, 36, took up during production.

Prior to his Sunday win, "they both started taking turns plucking my hair, and it was really painful," Culkin said in his speech as the crowd laughed. "And now, I'm here talking about it instead of saying what I had prepared to say, which is gone now. And I'm probably out of time."

Back in October 2021, Braun told The New York Times that he is "fascinated by romance and courting another human" because "I haven’t really been in a long-term relationship ever" in real life.

"I do yearn for it and yet I’m incapable of it," the Cat Person actor said at the time. "I go toward it and then I hit a wall where I’m like, 'I can’t go farther into this. I’ve got to exit.' "

He added, "I do believe it’ll happen at the right time with the right person. Until then, it’s fun to meet people and see what works."

Succession's awards season spotlight continues Monday, as Braun is among the show's nominees at the 2023 Emmy Awards. He's up for outstanding supporting actor in a drama series for his performance as Cousin Greg.
