NFL Star Rob Gronkowski’s Brief Career as a Male Stripper
Respected thinker, philosopher, anecdotalist, and New England Patriot Robert James Gronkowski was on Conan and talked about his short yet revered career as a … stripper. As it turns out, Gronk didn’t intend to participate when he accompanied his stripper friend to a party one night. “My boy in college always talked about how he used to do these bachelorette parties,” the Patriots tight end reminisced. “I’m like, that’s pretty sweet — that sounds cool.”
“I was the security guy,” he continued. “I put on a full suit on, a tie. I went there like this,” Gronk said, proceeding to fold his arms as though he were a bodyguard. He told the ladies at the party, “‘Back up. You’re too close. Get your hands off him.’ I was just pretending like that.” The football star wasn’t able to resist the good time, though. “Every lady there was giving me shots, making me drink their beers, so I was participating,” he admitted. “I was getting wasted on the side.”
“Next thing you know, I was feeling good,” he continued. “They started cheering for me. Cheering for me. I’m like, ‘I’m good.’ Next thing you know, they kept cheering, so I kept getting, you know, feeling it more. Next thing you know, I’m taking off my tie, unbuttoning my shirt, taking my pants off — I’m in my boxers only. And I’m just giving these lap dance to these ladies. It was just hilarious, and next thing you know, I got ones thrown at me and made like 25 bucks.”
