Las Vegas police have arrested Chandler Jones, TMZ reports. On Thursday (Sept. 29), the Las Vegas Raiders star was detained a day after he broke down on Instagram Live.

The outlet reports that Jones was booked at Clark County Detention Center in Nevada. Details regarding the professional athlete’s arrest haven’t been disclosed. However, the outlet stated that Chandler allegedly violated a “protective order,” leading to his detainment.

Before his arrest, Jones went live on Instagram to speak with his fans. In the video, Chandler cried after answering a remark regarding Aaron Hernandez’s death. “Y’all thought Chico [Hernandez] killed himself in jail?” he said before weeping.

The Super Bowl champion has not played a down during the 2023 NFL season. The Las Vegas Raiders organization placed Jones on the non-football injury list before their week-three exhibition.

Since then, Jones has gone on multiple rants across social media regarding his relationship with the Raiders. In early September 2023, the Raiders star sent a shot at the Las Vegas coaching staff. He called out McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler and declared that he wouldn’t play on a team they ran.

In another IG Story, the 33-year-old claimed that the AFC West squad sent a crisis response team to his home. He posted a photo of Dr. Heather Thanepohn, Clinic Program Manager for the Crisis Response Team, and a shot of her office.

On Monday (Sept. 25), Jones released handwritten notes claiming he was hospitalized “against his will.” He expressed that he was sent to a behavioral facility for monitoring. Chandler surmised that whoever admitted him to the hospital had “bad intentions.”
