NFL Star Cam Newton Slams Person To The Ground In Intense Brawl [VIDEO]

NFL quarterback Cam Newton has found himself involved in an intense brawl that seemingly occurred during an event put on by his foundation C1N, a 7v7 league that plays tournaments across the country.

Videos of the fight are circulating the internet, which shows a couple of guys shoving the NFL star around before they run off into an area with trees.

One angle of the brawl shows the former NFL quarterback standing in the middle of a group of guys, who jumped on him, resulting in him trying to hold them back for his own protection.

Another man, wearing a white t-shirt, is then seen coming up to Newton, throwing a punch which appears to make contact with someone, although it is hard to tell if he caught Newton or another individual nearby.

The NFL star was able to hold the group of guys off until police showed up to take control of the situation.

It is unclear what started the fight.

Many users shared videos of the incident, including one who said, "Better camera angle of the beginning of the fight when TSP crew tried to jump Cam Newton by blindsiding him with a punch."

As former NFL linebacker Emmanual Acho, said, "Cam Newton made NFL Linebackers look small, so why in the world would you, a mere mortal, ever think fighting Cam Newton is a good idea."

As another pointed out "wtf make you want to fight Cam Newton off all people. Bro look comfortable af fighting 4 people at the same time."

While not many other details have been released, it does seem the brawl occurred at Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy in Atlanta as part of an event put on by Newton's foundation C1N, whose mission statement reads, "Under the theme of Every 1 Matters, the Cam Newton Foundation establishes and strengthens relationships in the Charlotte and Atlanta communities. The CNF creates and supports strategic programs, events and partnerships that align with these focus areas."

Adding, "Charitable initiatives fall under three main areas: Every 1 Learns, Every 1 Plays, Every 1 Gives."

Cam Newton's Focus On His Foundation

He has been focused on The Cam Newton Foundation for years as he looks for ways to help disadvantaged kids achieve their educational goals. “I want to give them opportunities that they might not have had otherwise,” Newton told PEOPLE at the time.

“When I was growing up, my parents really influenced me,” he says. “But there are kids who don’t have that type of influence. They need someone who can create avenues for their dreams – whether they want to be a football player, a doctor or a veterinarian.”

The Foundation came shortly after Newton received his Bachelor's degree, which he says,  “I wanted to finish something I started. I value a lot of things in my life, including education. I now have a degree, and nobody can take that away from me. It was very important to me to become a college graduate – not for anyone else, but for myself.”
