A little boy in Merkel, Texas, caught NFL player Justin Jefferson’s attention after performing the athlete’s signature “griddy dance” during a baseball game on April 29.

Video by Dylan Dewayne Simpson shows four-year-old Easton running to base. As supporters cheer, the mischievous boy stands to his feet and dances away.

Simpson told Storyful that Easton was playing with six and seven year olds on that day, and that he was tasked with performing runs batted in (RBIs) something that certainly made him proud.

“As you can tell, he loves to dance and has a big personality,” Simpson said.

The father uploaded the footage to TikTok where he wrote, “I think Justin Jefferson got some competition for the best griddy.” Simpson said he could not quite believe it when the NFL player shared the video of Easton on his Instagram account and described the performance as being “elite griddy.” Credit: Dylan Dewayne Simpson via Storyful
