Troy Aikman is aware that the internet thinks he looks like JAY-Z. During a recent Pablo Torre Finds Out episode, the show’s host detailed his conversation with the NFL legend. Pablo explained that he asked the former Dallas Cowboy about the meme, stating he looks like “white JAY-Z.” After an initial pause, Aikman gave a stern “yes.”

“Yes. I am aware of that,” Aikman could be heard saying in the recorded audio. “White JAY-Z. There was a meme, it still pops up on my feed from time to time. It was some game, yeah — I don’t know what… I think this was before everything kinda went AI. But, [now] you don’t know what’s real and what’s not, so I don’t know if that was actually an unedited picture of me, but, pretty scary.”

As far as we know, both Hall of Fame talents are unrelated. However, that didn’t stop the internet from creating memes around the two. The comparisons seem to have first started on X/Twitter in 2017.

Aikman and Joe Buck called the game during the NFC Conference Championship between the Atlanta Falcons and the Green Bay Packers. During the January showdown, Troy set X/Twitter on fire for some odd reason after he appeared to look like Hov. The picture went viral, and, as the years carried on, fans couldn’t shake the idea that they were long-lost twins.

In other look-alike news, John Legend’s apparent doppelgänger appeared on The Voice. During a recent episode of the singing contest, Legend was shocked to see who was behind a rendition of Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me.”

“I’m looking at myself,” the EGOT winner said about the 32-year-old man named Talakai. “A lot of times, people will send me pictures of people that they think look like me, and most of the time not really, and then I turned around and looked at you. We have the same haircut like… I was like he really legitimately looks like me.”

John asked the man whether he gets comparisons to him and the aspiring singer confirmed. Talakai revealed he had been getting the comparisons since he was in school. “Every day at work I get it,” the contestant said “In school, I used to sing ‘Ordinary People’ down the hallway all the time.”

“I’m sorry I’ve been haunting you, but now you’re on The Voice and I would love to have you on Team Legend,” the “All Of Me” singer responded.
