On Monday, Jurassic World’s official Instagram account posted the iconic T-rex logo, made famous by the 1993 blockbuster, this time adding a date: July 2, 2025.

While the social media upload did not offer more information past the release date, it was previously announced by The Hollywood Reporter last month that some of the original writers would be returning to recreate a new feature film.

David Koepp, who wrote the screenplays for the original Jurassic Park and its 1997 sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park, both based on Michael Crichton's books of the same name, is set to return to write the script with a new storyline.

Steven Spielberg, who famously directed the first film, will return to executive produce the upcoming project.

Bullet Train director David Leitch is reportedly in talks to direct next year’s film, Variety said on Monday.

"I can say that it was incredible to be back together," Dern told PEOPLE in May 2022 about returning to her role. "It was an amazing thing to join my original cast members and go down memory lane, from that experience in the beginning of a franchise through the whole course of these films together with all the key cast members who have been working on these movies, as well as [director] Colin Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg, who is like family to me."
