New York Women in Film & Television Announces Muse Awards Honorees

New York Women in Film and Television’s 2016 Muse Awards gala luncheon is set for next month in New York City, with actress and CBS commentator Nancy Giles on board to recognize five stand-out women in the film, television, and digital media industries.

The 37th annual event’s honorees include “Weeds” star Mary-Louise Parker, “The Real O’Neals” actress Martha Plimpton, and “Entourage” and “Younger” actress Debi Mazar, who will accept the award from Giles.

Co-founder and president of Firelight Media Marcia Smith, along with former Variety Power of Women New York honoree and COO of Bloomberg Media Jacki Kelley will also be honored.

Host and executive producer of Democracy Now! Amy Goodman will receive the 11th annual Loreen Arbus Changemaker Award, which is presented annually to an individual, organization, or corporation in the entertainment industry that has worked to help to bring remarkable change to strengthen women.

The Muse Awards are set for Dec. 8 at the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel.
