What child star Tina Yothers looks like now

Tina Yothers, who played chubby-cheeked, snarky little sister Jennifer Keaton on eighties sitcom "Family Ties," has a date with fashion destiny this Thursday night, when Stacy and Clinton make her over on "What Not To Wear." But what's Tina been up to since "Family Ties" ended in 1989?

What she hasn't been is blonde; when the sitcom ended, she switched to black locks, and has worn it that way since.

After a few (kind of cringe-worthy) forays into other acting projects like "Laker Girls" and a short film about Tonya Harding, Tina switched her creative focus to music. She sang lead for the band, Jaded, that she formed with her brother, Cory "Bumper" Yothers and, among others, Phil Jordan of No Doubt. The band released a self-titled CD in 1998; Yothers continues to sing and play music at clubs in Los Angeles.

In 2002, Tina married electrician Robert Kaiser, with whom she has two daughters, and returned to acting a couple of years later – as the lead in the stage production "Lovelace the Musical," the life story of "Deep Throat" porn star Linda Lovelace. (Yikes.) (She only performed in the showcase, not the full production, but still.) She also spent a couple of years as a member of the company at the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theater in Boca Raton, FL, and the fact that that institution exists means that America really is the greatest country on earth.

"What Not To Wear" isn't Tina's first reality-TV experience. She's appeared on "Celebrity Fit Club," and – after putting on unwanted baby weight with her second child – "Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp." Viewers saw her most recently on the first season of "Celebrity Wife Swap," when she and "Reno 911!"'s Niecy Nash switched households last year.

Before "Family Ties," Tina – born "Kristina" – started out in commercials at age three, including spots for Bell Telephone and Doritos, before snagging a film role in 1982's "Shoot the Moon." During the run of "Family Ties," she also "wrote" a book called "Being Your Best: Tina Yothers' Guide for Girls."

Will Clinton and Stacy be dressing Tina for the rock-club stage, the audition room, or something else entirely? Do you like the black hair or the blonde better? And most important, have you read Tina's book? Tell us in the comments.
