WATCH: New ‘Fast and Furious 7′ Trailer

Universal has released an action-packed new trailer for “Fast and Furious 7″ two months ahead of its April 3 launch.

The trailer emphasizes the “family” aspect of the franchise, which saw star Paul Walker perish in an accident during a break in production in late 2013. Co-star Vin Diesel says at one point, “I don’t have friends; I have family.”

After a quiet start, the trailer also amps up the action more than the first, released in November. It’s directed by James Wan, written by Chris Morgan, and starring Diesel, Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Lucas Black, Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou and Kurt Russell.

The trailer is nearly three minutes long, highlighting the movie’s signature stunts of cars parachuting out of airplanes and crashing into skyscrapers. It also highlights Statham as the brother of Luke Evans’ character from “Fast and Furious 6,” who is out to avenge his brother’s death.
