The Weinstein Company Makes 5-Year Co-Fi Deal With Worldview Entertainment
The Weinstein Company will partner with Worldview Entertainment in a five-year multi-picture partnership. Worldview has already co-financed four upcoming TWC films including Justin Chadwick’s Tulip Fever, Simon Curtis’ The Woman In Gold, and two others that will be announced at Cannes. Worldview partners Christopher Woodrow and Molly Conners will get four domestic theatrical and ancillary distribution slots per year with P&A commitments from TWC over the term of the partnership and act as sales agent on a number of Worldview films accessing TWC’s key international relationships and output deals.
“We love working with Worldview, they are savvy about movies and the business of movies,” said TWC Co-Chairman, Harvey Weinstein, and COO, David Glasser. “We greatly look forward to strategically joining forces with them and look forward to a long and prosperous business relationship.”

Worldview is an increasingly important financier, with the Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu-directed Birdman, which stars Michael Keaton, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts, Zach Galifianakis and Edward Norton; Eli Roth’s horror thriller The Green Inferno; James Gray’s drama The Immigrant, starring Marion Cotillard, Joaquin Phoenix and Jeremy Renner; David Gordon Green’s drama Joe; Michel Hazanavicius’s drama The Search, which premieres at Cannes; and the John Hillcoat crime thriller Triple Nine, starring Casey Affleck, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Anthony Mackie, Aaron Paul, Oscar Isaac, Kate Winslet and Woody Harrelson.
