TNT Passes on Geena Davis' Bounty Hunter Pilot

Geena Davis is plotting a return to the small screen.

The ex-Commander in Chief star has signed on to play an unconventional bail bondswoman and bounty hunter in the TNT drama pilot Green, TVLine has confirmed.

The project — penned by Scott Prendergast and Amy Berg, with Dean Devlin (Leverage) set to direct — is inspired by the real-life story of Mackenzie Green (hence the working title).

• Emmy winner Toni Collette (United States of Tara) will star in the CBS pilot Hostages, a one-hour drama from Jerry Bruckheimer’s hit factory. Collette will play a successful surgeon who is thrust into the middle of a political conspiracy when her family is taken hostage. The added wrinkle: She was just selected to operate on the POTUS.

• Rosemarie DeWitt’s Season 2 Newsroom stint has ended before it’s begun, Deadline reports. The actress – cast in November as a litigator hired to defend the fictional Atlantis Cable News channel in a multimillion-dollar wrongful-termination suit — exited the series due to “scheduling conflicts,” per an HBO rep. The role is being recast.

Parks and Recreation has tapped X-Files‘ Annabeth Gish to play Ben’s (Adam Scott) sister in an upcoming episode, EW.com reports. The storyline finds Ben and Leslie taking a road trip to his hometown in Minnesota, where they meet up with his (slightly) older sis.
