TVLine Items: Community Enrolls an Arrested Fave, MTV Teams With MLB and More!

Showtime is getting into business with the man behind Arrested Development‘s own anus tart.

David Cross is in the early stages of developing a comedy with the cabler, Deadline reports. According to the actor/writer, who’ll pen and exec-produce the project, the untitled series centers on “a modestly successful travel writer” — with a double life — ”who struggles to keep his families happy and satisfied. Oh, and also from finding out about each other’s existence.”

Cross is not currently slated to star in his creation, but should Showtime move forward with the prospective series, he may join in a supporting role.

Project Runway Season 12 premieres July 18 on Lifetime, with Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, Zac Posen and Tim Gunn returning to judge and mentor. Guest judges this time around include Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory), Allison Williams (Girls), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), Sigourney Weaver (Political Animals) and more.

Ed Helms (The Office), Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development) and Jack McBrayer (30 Rock) will guest as an array of oddball characters in the upcoming run of Adult Swim’s NTSF: SD: SUV::, EW.com reports. The comedy bows July 25.

Unforgettable has promoted newcomers James Liao (24) and Tawny Cypress (Heroes) to series regulars in its upcoming Season 2. Laio joins as a tech-wiz detective, while Cypress plays a former FBI agent.

• The Young and the Restless‘ alumna Stacy Haiduk has landed a recurring role on ABC Family’s Twisted, per The Hollywood Reporter. She’ll play a private investigator who is hired by the mayor to look into Regina’s murder.
