Friday morning's shooting at a Newtown, Conn., elementary school has deeply shaken the small community – leaving friends, family, and loved ones of the students and faculty in mourning. At least 26 people were killed in the rampage, 20 of which were children. The gunman, identified as Adam Lanza by authorities, may have attended Sandy Hook Elementary School, where the massacre occurred, in years previous.
This tragic event has stunned the nation. Many chose to express their shock via the social networking site Twitter, including many TV celebrities, who shared their thoughts on the horror, pain, and anger of the shooting spree and offered their condolences to the loved ones of those lost.
