Tom Brunelle & Brad Wollack Exit Chelsea Handler’s Company Borderline Amazing

Chelsea Handler is parting ways with longtime collaborators Tom Brunelle and Brad Wollack, her partners at the comedienne’s Borderline Amazing. Both have exited as Handler is overhauling the executive ranks of her production company. They are expected to be replaced.

The move comes as Handler is heading into production on four docu-comedy specials for Netflix and will soon start prepping for her upcoming talk show — all part of her deal with the streaming giant. In the deal announcement, Brunelle and Wollack were listed as producing all Netflix projects with Handler. (The three executive produced together the first one, the Handler standup special Uganda Be Kidding Me Live.) That is expected to change going forward in light of Brunelle and Wollack’s exits.

Brunelle and Wollack’s history with Handler dates back to her 2006 sketch comedy series for E!, The Chelsea Handler Show, on which the two served as producers. Brunelle was head writer and Wollack a writer on Handler’s E! late-night talk show Chelsea Lately since the first episode. Brunelle served as an executive producer on the show, Wollack as co-executive producer. Handler, Brunelle and Wollack also co-created together and executive produced the Chelsea Lately companion series After Lately.

Handler partnered with Brunelle in 2009 to launch Borderline Amazing. Wollack subsequently joined them as a partner.
