‘The Walking Dead’ Is Filming at Tyler Perry’s Studio, and It’s Scary

Tyler Perry stopped by Ellen on Wednesday, where he talked about the huge new studio he recently opened in the heart of Atlanta. Aptly named Tyler Perry Studios, it is still under construction, but there are shows currently filming there. One of them is the AMC hit The Walking Dead. Perry wasn’t sure at first if he wanted the show as a client, because he doesn’t like zombies, but after watching it, he was hooked. But having a bunch of zombies around all the time isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

When host Ellen DeGeneres mentioned how cool it is to have The Walking Dead shooting there, Perry replied, “Not cool to have them walking around at 2 o’clock in the morning. With the zombies all [Makes zombie sounds]. That’s not cool.”

Perry also wanted to make sure he doesn’t get blamed for the current trend of creepy clowns showing up in random places in towns across the U.S. He felt the need to do so because clowns appear in his new movie, Boo! A Madea Halloween.

“Listen, these clown things? I have clowns in the movie. I have nothing to do with these sightings going on around the country. I wrote this long before that happened. That’s not me. But Madea does show you how to handle clowns in the movie,” Perry said.
