T.J. Miller’s Intentional Bad Timing Makes for a Good Time on ‘Lip Sync Battle’

On Lip Sync Battle, T.J. Miller vs. Sam Richardson, Richardson wowed the crowd with well-timed performances of Stevie Wonder’s “Part-Time Lover” and Foreigner’s “Hot Blooded.” Meanwhile, Miller’s performances were not so well-timed. In fact, they were very out of sync.

As Miller sang Vanessa Williams’s “Save the Best for Last,” he intentionally mouthed the words a few seconds ahead of the track. The resulting performance was hilarious.

And Miller’s second performance wasn’t much better either, that is, unless you like to laugh. While dancing and singing to Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance,” Miller stopped on the lyric “Where are my keys? I lost my phone” and pretended to look for his keys and phone. He even checked under Chrissy Teigen’s table.

The crowd seemed to love Miller’s performance, and though he was just pretending to look for his phone and keys, in the end, he really did lose something — the competition. Richardson took home the Lip Sync Battle winner’s belt.
