Though specific details of Cyborg Superman’s visit to Supergirl (Nov. 21, 8/7c) are being kept under wraps, TVLine can address one popular fan query: Per executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, “Cyborg Superman is not [being played by] Tyler Hoechlin.”

To be fair, this probably won’t come as a huge shock to savvy DC Comics fans who know that the Cyborg Superman alias has been adopted on paper by two characters: NASA astronaut Hank Henshaw — who has already been established on Supergirl as J’onn J’onzz/Martian Manhunter — and Kara’s father Zor-El.

As for Hoechlin’s eventual return, Kreisberg says, “We’d love to have him back, but right now, we’re still trying to figure out what we’re going to do for the rest of the season. We loved working with him, he’s amazing in the part and we’d be lucky to get him back.”
