“Game of Thrones” star Jason Momoa returns to the small screen on Sundance Channel’s new original series, “The Red Road,” on February 27 at 9/8c.

From writer Aaron Guzikowski (“Contraband,” “Prisoners”) and producer Sarah Condon (“Bored to Death”), the one-hour drama follows a local New Jersey sheriff (Martin Henderson) as he tries to manage a clash between a small community and a Native American tribe. In doing so, he’ll forge a tenuous alliance with a tribal leader (Momoa).

“‘The Red Road’ is a thrilling journey,” Sundance Channel’s president and GM, Sarah Barnett. “While the show moves at a cracking pace, it also has multiple layers to it: lost dreams, racial tension, tragedy, and the pain of love. It’s a unique show, unlike anything out there right now, and we hope viewers will love it as much as we do.”

The six-episode series also stars Julianne Nicholson, Momoa’s real life wife Lisa Bonet, Tom Sizemore, Tamara Tunie, Annalise Basso, Allie Gonino and Kiowa Gordon.
