SPOILER: Does The USA Reign Supreme in Gymnastics?

Team USA's Fab Five proved to be the Fierce Five earlier this week by earning Olympic gold in the team all-around category of gymnastics. The focus narrowed on Thursday when individual all-around medals were awarded. Did Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas continue the winning streak?

Gabby Douglas was beaming as she followed in the cartwheels of Mary Lou Retton (1984), Carly Patterson (2004), and Nastia Liukin (2008), becoming the fourth American gymnast in history to top the podium. Relishing the victorious moment, Gabby waved to the cheering crowd as the teen realized she won the sport's highest honor.

The flying squirrel, as she's known in the gymnastics world for her high-flying performances, out-tumbled Russians Victoria Komova and Aliya Mustafina, who finished second and third, respectively. Teammate Aly Raisman fell short of medal contention, placing fourth, likely due to stumbles on the balance beam.
