Sonar Entertainment Taps Tom Patricia for Miniseries, Movie and Limited Series SVP

Sonar Entertainment tapped Tom Patricia, who recently worked on the NBC miniseries “Rosemary’s Baby,” as its new senior vice president, limited series, miniseries and movies.

Patricia will assist Sonar with its program development and production, collaborative relationships with current and potential partners.

Patricia, an Emmy-nominated and Christopher Award-winning executive producer, previously worked as a consultant with Lionsgate Television before his new role. He also ran television divisions overseen by Michael Ovitz’s Artists Television Group and Peter Guber‘s Mandalay Entertainment.

“Tom’s creative instincts are impeccable – he has an amazing talent for spotting great content and turning it into compelling television,” Sonar CEO Gene Stein said in a statement. “His personal network of writers, directors, actors, broadcasters, agents, authors and others will have a huge impact on our ability to fast track a steady pipeline of original productions.”

In years past, Patricia served as executive producer for Lifetime Network’s “Homeless to Harvard” film starring Thora Birch and “The Gathering,” a four-hour Lifetime miniseries starring Peter Gallagher, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Peter Fonda.

Patricia’s new role comes after Sonar announced production for “Taboo” in 2015, starring Tom Hardy (“The Dark Knight Rises” “Warrior”) for BBC One and FX.
