Set seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer will explore “class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival” as it follows the remnants of humanity as they inhabit a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe.

A co-production of Tomorrow Studios and Turner’s Studio T, the hour-long pilot counts the original film’s Bong Joon Ho, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun and Dooho Choi among its executive producers.

As seen in the 2013 film fronted by Chris Evans, “Snowpiercer has one of the most original concepts to hit the screen in the last decade, and it’s one that offers numerous opportunities for deeper exploration in a series format,” TNT EVP Sarah Aubrey said in a statement. “We look forward to [this] take on a world where humanity is pushed to the extreme.”

Are you curious to see what a Snowpiercer series looks like? Sounds like a whole lotta train tracks.
