“Bombshell” is finally coming to Broadway, for real. The musical set within the world of NBC’s “Smash” is getting a real Broadway debut in a one-night-only benefit performance, according to Playbill. The event is expected to feature cast members from “Smash” reprising their performances, including the drama’s original Marilyn Monroe, Megan Hilty.

“Smash” took viewers behind the scenes of the fictional musical production “Bombshell,” the story of Marilyn Monroe. Throughout its two-seasons run, there were 22 original songs and choreographed musical numbers for “Bombshell” presented. While not all of them made the final cut on televison, all 22 will make it to the stage.
