The Shield's Kenny Johnson to Guest-Star on Burn Notice

The Shield's Kenny Johnson will make a guest appearance on an upcoming episode of Burn Notice, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Johnson, who was last seen on NBC's Prime Suspect and has also had turns on The Mentalist and Sons of Anarchy, will play Tyler Gray, an assassin who is the target of a CIA operation in Panama. The character, described as being "as devious as he is deadly," will play a pivotal role on the show's midseason finale.

In other Burn Notice news, a major character is set to be killed on Thursday's episode of the show. We bet Johnson's character might ultimately have something to do with that death.

Burn Notice airs Thursdays at 9/8c on USA. Johnson's episode is slated to air on Aug. 23.
