‘Sherlock’ Season 4 Photo Reveals New Addition to the Watson Family
There’s a new addition to the Watson family in the new season of “Sherlock.”
In a photo released Wednesday from Season 4 of the Benedict Cumberbatch-Martin Freeman drama, the crime-fighting partners are seen with John Watson’s (Freeman) wife Mary (Amanda Abbington) and a baby strapped to his chest.
Mary’s pregnancy was announced in the Season 3 finale of “Sherlock,” so the appearance of a physical baby seems to indicate Season 4 will jump ahead in time a few months.

Details of the new season remain under wraps, though fans have speculated the story will be based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Adventure of Silver Blaze,” after co-creator Mark Gatiss tweeted a line from the book during filming.
“Sherlock” returns for Season 4 on PBS Sunday, Jan. 1.
