Sharna Burgess Returns to 'DWTS' With Mind-Blowing Blindfolded Tango With James Hinchcliffe

Dancing With the Stars pro Sharna Burgess made her triumphant return to the dance floor on Monday, after taking two weeks off to heal from a knee injury, and she made sure her comeback performance with partner James Hinchcliffe was nothing less than extraordinary.

Dancing a seductive Argentine tango, the 31-year-old Australian dancer decided to raise the bar by performing the entire number completely blindfolded, and she couldn't have looked more graceful and brilliant with every step in the routine.

Hinchcliffe was also eager to prove himself again after a minor mistake last week ended up getting him the lowest score of the night (which, to be fair, was still all '9's). So, for the cherry on top, the IndyCar racer capped off the number by doing a handstand on a chair, holding himself up for several seconds.

The reaction from the crowd was immediate and deafening, and the judges couldn't contain how impressed they were.

"You were literally standing on your hands and everybody in this room were standing on their feet," Julianne Hough marveled. "That was absolutely sensational."

The couple ended up with a near-perfect 29 out of 30, which was a notable improvement over Hinchcliffe's scores from last week.

Burgess and Hinchcliffe went backstage to speak with co-host Erin Andrews after the judges' feedback, where Burgess opened up about how she felt returning to the show after a mid-season hiatus.

"I feel incredible. I obviously know nothing about what that looked like, but it felt amazing," Burgess said, referring to her blindfolded performance. "That shows that I trust James implicitly with the way he moves with me."

During Burgess' recuperation from a possibly devastating knee injury almost three weeks ago, Hinchcliffe was teamed up with DWTS troupe member Jenna Johnson.

During the trio dance on Monday, Burgess and Hinchcliffe re-teamed with Johnson for a jive set to "Gimme Some Lovin'" by The Spencer Davis Group, where the main set piece of the performance was the refurbished IndyCar that almost took Hinchcliffe's life less than two years ago.

For his second dance of the evening, he nabbed that perfect 30 out of 30 score that eluded him by just one point earlier in the show.
