Mom's going back to work!

Hilary Duff is returning to TV in a guest appearance on Fox's "Raising Hope," a year after giving birth to son Luca with husband Mike Comrie.

The 25-year-old will play an ex-girlfriend of Jimmy (Lucas Neff), who still holds a grudge against her after seven years. Guess it was a very bad breakup!

Yes, Duff just had a baby one year ago -- hard to believe now seeing her slim, sleek post-baby bod. It hasn’t been easy, though. In November, she tweeted about her personal trainer, "your kickin my ass and its paying off! Skinny jeans!"

The new mom believed most of her pregnancy weight would melt away instantly after birth. "I still assumed I'd probably take it off within the first six months after his birth, because I credited most of my weight gain to a lot of excess fluid. (What a dummy I was.)"

The former "Lizzie McGuire" star has kept a low profile these past few years as she started a family. Her last scripted role was in 2010 on "Community," and her most recent TV appearance was as a guest judge on "Project Runway" in September. She also starred in a small indie movie, "She Wants Me," last year.

But we may see a lot more of the young mom soon: Duff signed a development deal with Fox last August for a half-hour comedy show that she'll headline.

Baby Luca might get an on-set nursery in the near future!
