Scott Foley on 'Scandal' Season Finale: Cast Members' 'Minds Were Blown'

Is Jake a good guy or bad guy?

Just when you think "Scandal" can't get more scandalicious, the show tops itself.

After the shocking reveal of the mole last week, Thursday night's jaw-dropping season finale just might break Twitter.

"There are going to be huge questions — questions you didn't even know you had — that will be asked," teased Scott Foley, who plays Cpt. Jake Ballard. "When we read it at the table read, our minds were blown. We had no idea."

And there will be answers, too. Might one of those be whether Jake is a good or bad guy?

"Jake is an interesting character. His relationship with Olivia is questionable. Is he there because he has been told to be there? And by there, I mean in a relationship with her. Or are his feelings genuine?" Foley said. "It's something we'll find out more about in the season finale."

One thing's for sure: The stars will be along for the roller coaster ride with fans on Twitter, which Katie Lowes (Quinn) credits with saving "Scandal" last season.

"It's huge. And we have so much fun live-tweeting," Foley said. "I've never worked with a cast that has embraced their audience to this degree. … I think it speaks volumes — not just about the show, but about where television is going and social media's role in it. It's sort of interesting to have started in 'Dawson's Creek' and 'Felicity,' really pre-Internet, and to see where it is now. The impact that this medium is having on television is amazing."

The season finale of "Scandal" airs Thursday, 5/16 at 10 PM on ABC.
