‘Saving Mr. Banks’ Producer Philip Steuer Joins Disney

“Saving Mr. Banks” producer Philip Steuer has joined the Walt Disney Studios as senior VP of physical production in Disney’s live-action film group.

The move comes two weeks after Disney production executive Tony To joined Disney subsidiary Lucasfilm as head of production and development.

Steuer produced all three “Chronicles of Narnia” films. His exec producing credits include “Oz the Great and Powerful,” “The Rookie” and “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.”

Steuer and longtime studio executive Jerry Ketcham will co-lead physical production following To’s move to Lucasfilm. The two will report directly to Sean Bailey, president of production.
