Ain't no party like a Palin party! Former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin's family got a little crazy at a birthday party this past weekend, according to reports.
At the fête in Anchorage, Alaska, the alcohol-fueled brawl allegedly began when Palin's son, Track Palin, 25, arrived at the party, only to spot one of his sister Williow's ex-boyfriends. Track, reportedly not a fan of this ex, confronted him at the get-together.
Various guests at the bash, including Palin's most famous daughter Bristol Palin, 23, then got involved in the scuffle. An attendee told ABC News of Bristol: "She was punching [a man] in the face like six times; it was an assault if I've ever seen one… it wasn't a light punch either. She was really hitting him."
According to the New York Post, Track got particularly heated, ripping his shirt off Hulk-style and throwing up his middle finger. Alaska-based political blogger Amanda Coyne reports that the fight culminated with a guest shouting, "This isn’t some damned Hillbilly reality show!"
The incident was acknowledged by the Anchorage Police Department who, in a statement to the Alaska Dispatch News, characterized the drama as a "verbal and physical altercation," which about 20 people were involved in. Some reports place Sarah herself at the event as well, though there has been no official confirmation that she was present.
"A preliminary investigation by police revealed that a party had been taking place at a nearby residence and a fight had broken out between multiple subjects outside of the residence," police spokesperson Jennifer Castro added to the ADN. "None of the involved parties wanted to press charges at the time of the incident and no arrests were made at the scene. Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the incident. Some of the Palin family members were in attendance at the party."
The former Republican vice presidential candidate has yet to comment on the fight.
