Sarah Hyland to Host Nickelodeon’s ‘Lip Sync Battle Shorties’ Special
“Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland is set to host Nickelodeon’s one-hour “Lip Sync Battle” spinoff special, “Lip Sync Battle Shorties.”
The kiddie version will premiere Sunday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Nick. It’ll feature four “everyday” children competing — so, not little celebrities. The special will also feature a “shortie” dance crew and kid D.J., M.C., and backstage correspondent.
“After having such an awesome experience competing on ‘Lip Sync Battle,’ I jumped at the chance to host ‘Shorties,'” Hyland said Thursday in a media release. “What could be more fun and exciting to see than the next generation of Lip Sync superstars showing off their sensational skills?”

Hyland’s own “Lip Sync Battle” episode will air as part of Spike’s upcoming new season.
Casey Patterson Entertainment and Matador are the creators of “Lip Sync Battle Shorties.”
