Robert Downey Jr. Says He’s Willing to Appear on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Avengers star and generally awesome person Robert Downey, Jr. participated in a reddit AMA Tuesday afternoon to promote his new film The Judge with Robert Duvall.

The actor answered a myriad of questions, including "How is it that your facial hair is always on point" (thank Pedro at Shave of Beverly Hills) and "If you were a pizza, what kind of toppings would you have" (garlic, extra cheese, onions, spinach, pepperoni). But the biggest news to come out of the question and answer session is that Downey, who has played popular Marvel character Tony Stark since the first Iron Man film in 2008, said he would be willing to guest-star on the Marvel TV series, ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

When asked by another reddit user if there was any chance he'd drop by this season, Downey said, "Nothing is impossible. But there might be a fair amount of red tape involved in something like that." He continued, "I love Clark Gregg, and am pleased the show is doing so well."

For what it's worth, it looks like the cast would love for him to stop by. Chloe Bennet, who plays S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Skye on the series, posted a screenshot of his AMA to her Instagram and captioned it, "Please please please tell me this is real life."

Downey is next set to reprise his role as Tony Stark in the upcoming Avengers sequel, which hits theaters on May 1, 2015.

What do you think? Would you like to see Downey bring his awesomeness to S.H.I.E.L.D.?
