Report: Ghostbusters 3 May Incorporate Female Ghostbusters
Who you gonna call? A group of lady Ghostbusters, if the upcoming third film goes as planned.
Ghostbusters 3 may focus on female ghostbusters, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Sources close to the film say that Paul Feig, who directed Bridesmaidsand The Heat, is Sony's first choice to direct the upcoming reboot. Ivan Reitman, who directed the first two Ghostbusters films, was previously attached to the project but withdrew earlier this year.
A script for the project, written by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, has been revised after the death of original cast member and writerHarold Ramis in February.
Dan Aykroyd has confirmed he will return for the third movie, but Bill Murray has not said whether he will be back.
Feig is currently working on Spy, an action comedy starring Melissa McCarthy that is slated for release in 2015.
