The Fox dating series bowed to 4.2 million viewers and a 1.7 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic to win the 9 o'clock hour against Duets, which averaged 5.2 million viewers and a 1.2 over two hours. The Choice also improved on its lead-in, fellow new dating series Take Me Out (3.3 million, 1.3), and was up two-tenths from Touch's season finale rating last week.

Against The Choice, NBC's new drama Saving Hope debuted to 3.1 million viewers and a 0.7, down more than 25 percent from America's Got Talent's numbers a week ago.
