Ratings: Broadcast Viewers Elect NBC Tuesday’s Primetime Winner
Donald Trump was one big winner on Tuesday, NBC was another. (OK, albeit to a much lesser degree.)
The broadcast network topped its primetime competition between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., averaging a 4.4 rating/11 share in the key 18-49 demographic and 12 million viewers over those hours. ABC beat CBS out for the runner-up slot last night. Aside from The CW, all broadcast nets packed primetime with wall-to-wall election coverage. The CW opted to air reruns instead.
Of course, a presidential election victor wouldn’t actually be called until roughly three-and-a-half hours after prime’s end. Still, things seemed to be going Trump’s way right from the earliest reported numbers. That never really wavered.

ABC was second in ratings with a 3.0/7 and in viewers with 9.7 million.
CBS was third in ratings with a 2.6/6 and in viewers with 8.8 million.
Univision was fourth in ratings with a 1.6/4 and fifth in viewers with 3.9 million.

Fox was fifth in ratings with a 1.5/4 and fourth in viewers with 4.3 million.
Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.8/2 and in viewers with 2.2 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 1 million.
