Ratings: 'America's Got Talent' and the Competition's Got No Answer

NBC's reality competition "America's Got Talent" scored with the judges at home Tuesday: It was the highest-rated and most-watched program of the evening.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.9 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in total viewers with an average of 6.9 million, according to preliminary numbers.

Following a rerun, "America's Got Talent" at 9 p.m. was the highest-rated and most-watched show of the evening, earning a 2.4/7 and 8.5 million viewers. It was the show's fourth consecutive Tuesday win in the key demo and in total viewers.

Fox and Univision tied for second in ratings, each with a 1.3/4. Fox had 3.9 million viewers -- good for third place overall -- with "So You Think You Can Dance" from 8 to 10. Univision was fifth in viewers with 3.2 million.

ABC was fourth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and fourth in total viewers with 3.4 million. "Extreme Weight Loss" at 8 received a 1.3/4 and 3.6 million viewers. A repeat followed.

CBS was in fifth in ratings with a 0.8/3, but second in viewers with 6 million, airing entirely reruns. The Time Warner Cable blackout continues in several major markets.

Telemundo and the CW tied for sixth in ratings, each with a 0.5/2. The CW was sixth in viewers with 1.4 million. "Whose Line Is it Anyway" at 8 earned a 0.8/3 and 2.2 million viewers. Following a rerun at 8:30, "Capture" at 9 received a 0.3/1 and 790,000 viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in viewers with 1.2 million.
