Pilot Scoop: Bones Baddie Andrew Leeds Bringing Backup Dancer to The CW
Bones villain Andrew Leeds has landed a pilot at The CW — but as a writer not an actor.
Leeds and his writing partner David Lampson (This One Time with Julia) have inked a deal with the network to pen a one-hour drama pilot based on the book Confessions of a Backup Dancer.
The project, produced by Alloy in association with Warner Bros. Television, follows a young filmmaker who is hired to make a documentary about a world famous pop star and her controversial tour. His life starts to change as he becomes immersed in this foreign world and falls in love with one of the backup dancers.
As TVLine reported, Leeds the actor will next be seen on Grey’s Anatomy in a top-secret role. He also has a recurring gig on The CW’s midseason thriller Cult.
