Paramount Sets New ‘Terminator’ Movie for June 26, 2015

Paramount, Skydance and Annapurna Pictures have greenlit the next installment in “The Terminator” franchise and dated it for June 26, 2015.

Skydance and Annapurna will co-finance with Arnold Schwarzenegger expected to return in his iconic role.

Laeta Kalorgridis and Patrick Lussier are attached to write the screenplay. Megan Ellison of Annapurna and David Ellison of Skydance will produce.

Plot details have not been released.

“Terminator” now joins a summer that is turning into one of the biggest ever. “Star Wars VII,” “Independence Day 2,” “Pirates of the Caribbean 5″ and “The Avengers 2″ are just a handful of films set to bow that summer.
