Oprah Winfrey Takes Steve Harvey on a Tour of Her Private Office

On Monday’s Steve Harvey Show, Oprah Winfrey gave Steve Harvey a private tour of the offices for her OWN network in Los Angeles. While there, they came across a picture that Oprah, now 62, has held onto for 40 years. The picture is of a 22-year-old Winfrey from her days working in Baltimore. Adjacent to that photograph are multiple awards she’s won since, including Emmys, People’s Choice Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and an Oscar, among others. Looking at the picture, Harvey and Winfrey agreed that the young woman they were looking at turned out to do pretty well for herself.

There wasn’t enough shelf space in Winfrey’s office to hold all of her awards, and Harvey was quick to point out all of his Emmys would take up very little space. He has two Emmy Awards for his talk show.

While being shown around, Harvey said it’s obvious a woman owns the company, that there was a woman’s touch all over the place. And since Winfrey had so much to do with the design of the space, she knew the perfect spot to sit down for a heart-to-heart with Harvey.

Winfrey told Harvey, “You make me so proud. I watch you and it’s not just the funny. It’s the fact that you rose to the moment. To the highest part of yourself. That’s what I’m proud of.”

That’s high praise coming from someone as accomplished as Winfrey, and Harvey has so much respect for her, he might even consider trading places with her dog.

“That’s about the only thing I’d trade places with. ‘Who would you trade places with, Steve?’ Oprah’s dog,” Harvey joked.
