'Once Upon a Time' Gets Baby Mama Drama
On Sunday’s Once Upon a Time, Belle drank tea at a diner. The tea turned out to be laced with a poison that accelerated her pregnancy and forced her into labor.
Her first act after giving birth to a son, Gideon, was to seek out Blue, a fairy, and ask her to be the child’s fairy godmother. Belle then asked Blue to take the baby far away, where he would be safe from his father, Rumplestiltskin.
As Blue flew away, Rumplestiltskin showed up and demanded to see the child. He was shocked that Belle had sent the boy away and accused her of abandoning their son. “I didn’t abandon him!” Belle shot back. “I gave him his best chance at a good life. And after what you did, that is clearly a life without you in it.”
Rumplestiltskin swore he wouldn’t hurt the baby, but Belle wouldn’t even give him the name of the child. She told Rumplestiltskin he could do he wanted to her, but she would never tell him. He said, “I would never hurt you, Belle. Never. But I will find our son.”
