MTV's new show 'Failosophy' finds comedy fodder in cyberspace [Exclusive video]

MTV's new show "Failosophy" falls somewhere between "Tosh.0" and Buzzfeed.com -- as in it takes all that bizarre, cyber-based dirty laundry and airs it out big time. This pop-culture, social-network-driven show boasts a live audience and a fresh face, host Hasan Minhaj.

In this exclusive clip, Hasan is highlighting all those social-networking moments that are more like "social not working" -- and there are plenty. #HonestHour is normally a Twitter venue to dish the truth about life (e.g., "I hate my roommate #HonestHour"), but some tweeps take this confessional outlet and turn it into a "PostSecret" moment: "Sometimes I like to cover myself in Vaseline, and pretend I'm a slug. #HonestHour." Well, at least he/she is honest (maybe).

The "social not working" segment moves beyond the Twitterverse and enters the realm of text confusion -- particularly when a mom mistakes the meaning "lol" for "lots of love." It's an especially egregious error when texting the family something like "Your great aunt just passed away. LOL." Yikes.

"Failosophy" premieres on Thursday, 2/14 at 10:30 PM on MTV.
