Miss Piggy Catches Tony Bennett’s Fall During Thanksgiving Day Parade (Watch)
It appears Miss Piggy is feeling the holiday spirit.
If you watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade yesterday, you may have noticed an out-of-character moment for everyone’s favorite Muppet diva: she lent a helping hand.
The glamorous pig was singing a duet of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” with the living legend when the float moved forward into the parade, causing the 90-year-old to briefly loose his balance and stumble — but Miss Piggy came to the rescue and grabbed onto Bennett, preventing his fall.
There was no mention of the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment during NBC’s on-air broadcast, anchored by Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie, but Twitter quickly took notice with some users calling Miss Piggy a “life-saver.”

Miss Piggy just saved Tony Bennett from falling off a float which is probably some kind of euphemism for 2016 #MacysParade

I have never seen a more amazing act of puppetry than Miss Piggy somehow catching a falling Tony Bennett. #MacysParade

Though the moment was traumatic for some, Miss Piggy bounced right back. The morning after Thanksgiving, she updated her fans to let them know that she was enjoying some Black Friday shopping. Bennett wasn’t shopping with her — but her slew of assistants kept her company.
What a successful #BlackFriday I had!! Thank goodness I had my four assistants waiting at four different stores all night long.
