Melissa McCarthy Robs a Burger Shop in ‘Tammy’ Trailer

New Line has released the first trailer for the Melissa McCarthy road-trip comedy “Tammy,” highlighting an incompetent robbery at a burger joint.

Rather than use the conventional ski mask, McCarthy wears a paper bag over her head to commit the crime.

“Tammy,” which also stars Allison Janney, Susan Sarandon and Mark Duplass, began shooting last spring with McCarthy starring and co-directing with spouse Ben Falcone. McCarthy and Falcone are also producing along with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay through their Gary Sanchez banmer.

“Tammy” follows a women who, after losing her job and learning that her husband has been unfaithful, hits the road with her profane, hard-drinking grandmother (played by Sarandon). McCarthy and Falcone co-wrote the script.

The film opens July 2.
