Masters Champ Adam Scott Not Single, Won't Go on 'The Bachelor'

Women around the world -- and avid fans of "The Bachelor" -- are in mourning.

Adam Scott, the Australian hunk who won the Masters golf tournament this weekend, revealed that he does in fact have a girlfriend.

"I am not single at all; I'm very much in a relationship and very happy at the moment," Scott said on "CBS This Morning" on Wednesday. The 32-year-old revealed he is dating a woman named Marie.

That would be Swedish beauty Marie Kojzar, whom Scott first started dating when he was 21 years old (a string of women he has seen in between include actress Kate Hudson and tennis player Ana Ivanovic).

Before Scott's relationship status was revealed, fans were campaigning hard for the Aussie hottie to go on "The Bachelor." Producer Robert Mills of the ABC hit show even tweeted:

Sources confirm to Yahoo! TV the network was "extremely interested" in getting Scott on the show and was going to pursue the golfer. A rep for Scott even said his company had recently fielded an offer for the champ to appear on the show.

Of course, now that Scott's relationship status has been revealed, he would be ineligible to go on "The Bachelor."

It's doubtful that the golfer, who has been described as very shy and private, would have ever considered the potential offer in the first place (come on … as if Scott would need help getting a date).
