Madonna Is Doing Carpool Karaoke With James Corden

James Corden is in New York right now with Madonna shooting a new edition of “Carpool Karaoke” for Corden’s “Late Late Show.” Madonna will join other musical luminaries like Elton John and Adele as seat-belting passengers.

Madonna posted a photo of the shoot on Instagram Wednesday afternoon. “Late Late Show” executive producer Ben Winston posted the same picture with a tweet that read, “New carpool soon.”

This particular edition of “Carpool Karaoke” doesn’t have an air date yet, but Madonna does have a concert film debuting on CBS Corp.-owned Showtime on Dec. 9, based on her “Rebel Heart” tour. The film covers the seven-month, 55-city tour that concluded in March.

Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment generated hundreds of millions of YouTube views, and its skyrocketing popularity has spawned a standalone series that will debut exclusively on Apple Music and a primetime special that aired in March. The special brought home an Emmy (There’s also an slightly similar Spike TV series hosted by Craig Robinson, “Caraoke Showdown.”)

Corden is hosting the Ad Council’s Annual Public Service Awards dinner Wednesday night in New York City. “The Late Late Show” airs weekdays on CBS at 12:35 a.m.
