Kimmel's view of Leno: Jason in "Friday the 13th"

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jimmy Kimmel isn't making nice with competitor Jay Leno.

In a teleconference about Kimmel's move from 12:05 a.m. to 11:35 p.m. EST on Jan. 8, the ABC host compared Leno to movie character Jason from the "Friday the 13th" franchise.

Kimmel made the remark Wednesday when asked, indirectly, about a report that NBC is weighing giving "Tonight" to Jimmy Fallon in 2014, when Leno's contract expires.

Leno's TV career has to end someday, Kimmel said, but added that Leno manages to "pop up" with a hatchet just when it seems he's a goner.
