This Is Kate Bosworth's Go-To Coachella Gear
Coachella's first weekend of festivities is already coming up next week, with the likes of Steely Dan, The Weeknd, Hozier, Drake and David Guetta taking center stage.
As more and more Hollywood folks head to the desert scene each year, no other celeb seems quite as synonymous with the fest than Kate Bosworth, who's inspired more than a few outfits for festival goers (that American Flag tee was everything). The Still Alice actress even shared a photo of herself with stepdaughter Jasper Polish recently, going on a dedicated Coachella shopping trip.

"I was truly shopping for her because it's a very deal being 17," Bosworth told us at the Samsung's Galaxy S 6 and Galaxy S 6 edge launch party Thursday evening, arriving with husband Michael Polish. As she gears up for next weekend, the actress said the most important thing for her is comfortable footwear. "I've been working with this footwear line with Matisse and many of the styles were very thoughtful in the sense of being wearable with a little bit of personality. It's very much how I see being at Coachella. You have to wear shoes that are comfortable, but you also want to feel unique," said Bosworth, clad in a Prabal Gurung frock and Nicholas Kirkwood heels.
David Macklovitch and Patrick Gemayel of Chromeo — who performed during the launch party in front of a crowd that included Aaron Paul, Taraji P. Henson, Zoe Saldana with husband Marco Perego, Olivia Munn, Russell Simmons and Joe Jonas — will also be heading to Coachella to play a live DJ set. Unlike Bosworth, Macklovitch doesn't plan to pack much for the occasion. "We go naked," joked Macklovitch of what the duo (don’t') plan to wear at the fest. Added Gemayel, "Commando."
"I bring one leaf," continued Macklovitch, using his hands to cover his crotch area to indicate that it's the only part he'll be covering up. "I'm Canadian, so if there's anywhere I should rep my country, [it's Coachella]."

While there might be a chance you'll see Bosworth and the Chromeo guys in the desert oasis, don't expect to catch Olivia Munn or Zoe Saldana there, though.
"The crowds are a bit intense," Munn explained of her reasoning for opting out of the annual madness. While she's never been to the fest, she offers that surviving the hot, overcrowded scene is as simple as picking "all the outfits you can't wear in real life and wear them there. You will survive as long as you have the most eccentric outfit."

As for Saldana, she'll be spending time with her two baby boys and taking photos with them on her new Samsung GalaxyS6 phone, instead.
"I love taking pictures, so to be able to have a quality phone like this one, you want to be able to capture these moments and you want it to look perfect," said the Nina actress in a hip-hugging Roland Mouret frock. "We were playing with the wide selfie shot and it was so much fun." Asked if she'd use her new phone with a selfie stick next time, she said with a smile, "I've always wanted to use a selfie stick and I've never been able to do it."
Well, good thing she's not heading to Coachella then, since those are banned and all.
