Jason Sudeikis And Rose Byrne To Star In ‘Tumbledown’

The romantic comedy stars Jason Sudeikis and Rose Byrne is set to begin production in October in Vancouver. Sean Mewshaw is directing Desi Van Til’s original screenplay and Olivia Munn, Joe Manganiello, Blythe Danner, Michael McKean and Beau Bridges co-star. Kristin Hahn of Indigo Films and Aaron L. Gilbert and Margot Hand of Bron Studios are producing Tumbledown, which follows a young widow (Byrne) who falls for a brash New York writer (Sudeikis) who barrels into her rural Maine town to investigate the death of her husband, a folk-music hero. CAA packaged the project on Tumbledown and will rep North American rights.

This is the feature debuts of Mewshaw and Van Ti, the latter of whom is writing a comedy script for Warner Bros, Married Off, based on an original pitch. The two paired on the short film Last Night, which starred Frances McDormand and bowed in Venice. Van Til and Mewshaw are managed by Anonymous Content.

Sudeikis next stars opposite Jennifer Aniston in the upcoming We’re The Millers and just booked a reteam with Horrible Bosses co-star Charlie Day, One Night On The Hudson. Byrne is up next in The Internship and is filming Townies and This Is Where I Leave You.
