Hannah Montana Headed Back to Disney Channel for December Marathon

Are you ready to rock like it’s 2006? Disney Channel sure hopes so.

The hit kids’ show Hannah Montana, starring a young Miley Cyrus, is headed back to Disney Channel for a special marathon of the entire series, running from Dec. 3 to 29, the network announced in a tweet on Thursday.

Hannah Montana, which ran from 2006 to 2011, starred Cyrus as teen Miley Stewart, who lived a double life as pop idol Hannah Montana. The series launched Cyrus to superstardom and pulled in huge ratings for Disney Channel. The series premiere set a viewership record for the network, and a 2007 episode with guest stars the Jonas Brothers scored 10.7 million total viewers — a number any network today would envy.

The show only ran for 98 episodes — Cyrus’s increasingly adult antics led to complaints from parents in later seasons — so it looks like the December marathon will likely air four or so episodes per night. Specific airtimes, though, have yet to be announced.
